- The PEUMP programme is developing a programme website which will be housed as a sub-site on the SPC’s corporate website, using the SPC platform and server. The website will be updated regularly and will be an added platform for PEUMP communications and visibility. It will contain PEUMP Press Releases, stories of change, videos, reports etc and will be linked to SPC’s social media and online platforms. The website will also contain clickable links to the EU, Sweden and PEUMP implementing partner websites.

- The 2020 World Oceans day campaign theme is “Together We Can #ProtectOurHome”
- For 2020, World Oceans Day is uniting conservation action to grow the global movement calling on world leaders to protect 30% of our blue planet by 2030. This critical need is called 30x30. By safeguarding at least 30% of our ocean through a network of highly protected areas we can help ensure a healthy home for all.
- PEUMP activities to be carried out in partnership with KRA leads. TBC once lead CROP agency organising WOD activities in Suva is confirmed.

- The seventh “Our Ocean Conference” will draw partners globally to identify solutions to sustainably manage marine resources, increase the ocean’s resilience to climate change and safeguard its health for generations to come. The six areas of focus at the conference will include climate change, marine pollution, marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, sustainable blue economy, and maritime security.
